Search in evolutionary landscape of social strategies
We are living in times in which an economic theory has turned into a total ideology dominating all spheres of our lives. Ideology, argued for being perfect, for being the end of history, that it can ensure prosperity and happiness for mankind and that the limits of the human creative potential and social organization have been reached.
The current world economic crisis (sixth for the last 100 years) has once again proven that this is not true and that history can't have an end and there are no eternal theories and ideologies.
The crisis also shows the innate incurable cannibalistic disability of this system to collapse and self-destruct, disability which with each of its next manifestation indicates that "something with this system is wrong” and it's causing catastrophic effects on our lives.
We realize that nothing is perfect and eternal, that the evolutionary development (and also the revolutionary one) does not stop its course and sooner or later certain economic and social relations and institutions become outdated and obsolete and in their place come new ones, which are also not perfect like the previous ones, but are at least a step forward and reflect the current state of society and the relations within it.
We understand that capitalism (despite its topicality in the times of the Industrial revolution), along with its institutions and social and economic relations, no longer reflects the development of our society. The only thing that capitalism is able to achieve in all its forms is to suppress the evolution of humanity and lead us to our own self-destruction.
We believe that like any other economic and social theory before it, capitalism is now useless and harmful and must give way to the theorIES for a life after capitalism.
Why are we making this project?
The purpose of this project IS NOT to make propaganda of the only right ideology or doctrine, because we clearly realize that there is not such thing and that it can't exist.
The purpose of this project is to try to start a movement - a movement for establishing new theories for a life after capitalism, central planning and representative democracy:
- To raise the discussion about our present and future, about our survival and development,
- To show that the neo-liberal mantra "TINA (" There is no alternative ") is a lie.
- To promote and develop theories and visions for our future life in a free, sustainable society.
Almost all of the articles here will be in bulgarian, because our goal is to start a local movement here in Bulgaria (and because these articles are translations mostly from english, which can be found in the web). We'll do our best to translate in english and publish here all articles, which we have written...
What are we doing?
So far, besides more than 300 articles in Bulgarian (some translated, others written by us), numerous media appearences and public events in a wide variety of placed, we have published 3 books via our small publishing house, "Anarres Books", dedicated to radical publishing for action and thinking.
Our first book, "Asking we walk. Life after capitalism" (edited by Peter Piperkov, co-founder of the project) was issued in October 2010. It is a collection of the best articles, published during the first year of existence of this project. The book is already sold out (500 copies in six months)!
With the global economy facing severe crisis on many fronts, the search for ways to construct a more free and just society takes on increased urgency. The contributions collected here should stimulate not only thought but also actions that cannot be too long delayed if there is to be hope of decent survival.

The failures of capitalism are ceaseless and limitless in the depravity, indignity, and material and social pain they impose. Hypocrisy, staravtion, war, and even at its best - a rat race in which we all become rats gnawing on each others souls. All citizens now know that - sometimes explicitly, sometimes vaguely. Conclusion: Either we ignore capitalism's reality until it annihilates us - or we replace it. But replacing it requires that we think about, experiment with, refine and implement new ways of conducting economic and social life. And that is what this book admirably does so we should read it, think on it, and then advance the process ourselves, too.

This book contains a wide selection of essays assessing the present, and projecting into the future ideas for our better selves and the world around us, as well as how to get from here to there. Read this book if you want to see what these many thinkers say about the path forward.

Our second book is John Holloway's "Crack Capitalism", issued in April 2013 with the kind help of John Holloway himself and the Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences at the Autonomous University of Puebla.
Our third book, "The Direct Democracy of the 21 Century", issued in September 2013, is again a collection of articles, this time on the topic of direct democracy, edited by Qvor Tarinski, another member of our project.
Our fourth book "The Project for Autonomy", issued in December 2014, is again a collection of articles from Cornelius Castoriadis on the topics of autonomy and direct democracy, edited again by Qvor Tarinski.
